Are you interested in CFRE certification?

Next year, INDC hopes to obtain accreditation to allow each meeting to count toward continuing education hours for those working toward their CFRE certification.

What is CFRE?

CFRE stands for Certified Fund Raising Executive. The mission of CFRE is to certify "fundraising professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, skills and commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice in serving the philanthropic sector."

Working toward your CFRE certification helps improve your overall knowledge and skills as a fundraiser, and potentially improve your career opportunities in advancement.  (Read more about the Top 10 Reasons to become certified.)

Earning your CFRE certification requires, in part, a written application which includes earning education points.  This includes conferences, workshops, seminars and other types of training in which you have been involved over the last five years.

INDC accreditation with CFRE would allow you to count meetings and workshops toward that application.  We will continue to keep our members posted about this process.
