HIPPA / Privacy Issues - spotlight 11:00am - 12:00pm
Featuring Pat Holmstead, Performance Improvement/ Customer Service Coordinator for Inland Northwest Health Services; and John Gilchrist of Deaconess Medical Center. The Health Insurance portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) became law in 1996 and addresses many issues, including the security and privacy of health data. HIPPA affects many non-profits including Big Brothers and Sisters, Goodwill and hospitals alike. Learn how in the Spotlight session.
